I have the most knowledge on this steam since I go to it every year. I hear alot of people say it is a waste of your
time, believe me its not a waste. It may be a faster moving river than most yet I have got many large fish out of this river.
You may not find the typical pools you'd find in say the Raven or Crowsnest., instead nice deep runs packed with Browns and
Whitefish. The first year I caught a 18 inch Brown that was a huge 2.5 lbs, to me this was a big fish, to others maybe not.
He came from under a submerged stump and took a bite at my spinner and missed!!! But luckly took another bite and got it.
This was my best catch of my life. The very next year a got a 12 incher from a beaver dam on a trib. This last year a got
two nice fish a 16 inch Brown and a 17 inch Brookie. That was the biggest Brookies I've seen to date.
Spinners work
well, but now I am dedicated to fly fishing , The flies mentioned in the earlier posts work well here also.
